Terms of Service

The Short Version

You pay for scan tokens. One token equals one full scan, and tokens never expire. Each completed paid scan earns one free rescan of the same website within 14 days. Unused tokens are refundable within 30 days of purchase; tokens spent on completed scans are non-refundable. Subscriptions renew automatically, and you can cancel anytime. We scan publicly accessible web pages — at most once every 3 days per URL. The Service is provided as-is; our liability is capped at what you paid us in the preceding 12 months. The rest of this page contains the complete legally binding agreement.

1. Business Use and Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, purchasing tokens, or using CrawlReady (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Service is intended strictly for commercial and business use. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

When you register or check out, we ask you to confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. That confirmation, along with a timestamp, constitutes our official record of your agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business entity, company, or agency, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

CrawlReady scans publicly accessible websites and evaluates how readable, structured, and actionable they are for AI assistants and AI-powered search engines. A completed scan provides an overall score, a ranked list of identified issues, and clear fix instructions.

The Service caters to both individual business owners evaluating their own web properties and agencies managing client sites (subject to Section 8). We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue features over time; material changes will be communicated as outlined in Section 13.

3. Your Account and Privacy

You must register for an account to purchase tokens, schedule monitoring, or run scans. You agree to:

  • Provide a valid, active business email address.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your credentials.
  • Prevent unauthorized shared access across multiple distinct business entities under a single individual tier account.

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account. Notify us immediately at support@crawlready.ai if you suspect any unauthorized access or breach of security. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect and process account and usage data.

4. Scan Tokens and Payment Terms

A token purchases one full scan of one website, which includes all standard diagnostic checks and the complete ranked fix list. Competitor comparison scans are separate and free: you can keep up to five competitor sites on your account, and competitor scans never deduct tokens.

  • No Expiration: Tokens do not expire and remain active in your account balance until consumed.
  • Non-Transferable: Tokens are linked to your specific business account and cannot be resold, transferred, or reassigned to another account.
  • Token Consumption: A token is consumed only when a scan completes successfully. Failed, errored, or blocked scans never deduct tokens from your balance.
  • Pricing: Prices are listed on the token purchase page prior to checkout. Prices are subject to change, but price adjustments apply only to future token purchases or renewal cycles.
  • Payment Processing: Payments are handled securely via our third-party payment processor. CrawlReady does not store full credit card numbers or financial credentials.

5. 14-Day Free Rescan Policy

Each completed paid scan automatically qualifies for one complimentary rescan of the evaluated website, subject to the following conditions:

  • URL Matching: The rescan must target the exact same normalized URL (we ignore protocol differences like http vs. https, www prefixes, and trailing slashes).
  • Timeframe: The rescan must be initiated within 14 calendar days of the original completed paid scan.
  • Expiration: Any rescan requested after the 14-day window requires 1 token, like a standard scan.
  • Exclusions: Free teaser previews, promotional scans, and competitor comparison scans do not qualify for free rescans.

6. Refund Policy

Because CrawlReady is a business tool:

  • Unused Tokens: Tokens that have not been spent on completed scans are fully refundable within 30 days of purchase.
  • Used Tokens: Tokens spent on scans that complete successfully are strictly non-refundable, as the processing work and reporting data have already been delivered.
  • Requesting a Refund: To request a refund for eligible unused tokens, email support@crawlready.ai from your registered account email address with your purchase date and token quantity. We process valid requests within 3 business days to the original payment method.
  • Account Deletion: If you wish to claim a refund for unused tokens, you must submit your request before initiating an account deletion request.

7. Monitoring Subscriptions

Recurring monitoring subscriptions perform automated, scheduled rescans of designated sites and alert you to new issues or structural changes.

  • Auto-Renewal: Monthly monitoring subscriptions renew automatically every month, and annual subscriptions renew automatically every year, until canceled.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing and takes effect at the end of the current paid billing cycle.
  • Access Post-Cancellation: Following cancellation, automated monitoring halts at the end of your billing cycle. Existing reports and historical scan data remain accessible in your account. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable and not prorated upon early cancellation.
  • Failed Payments: If a renewal payment fails, we will send an administrative notice to your registered email. Monitoring services will be paused until valid payment details are provided.

8. Acceptable Use and Agency Rules

What We Scan

The Service scans publicly reachable web pages visible to standard web browsers. To respect web infrastructure, our systems enforce a strict rate limit of at most one scan per URL every 3 days. We do not bypass paywalls, break authentication barriers, override robots.txt access restrictions, or target non-public staging environments.

Usage Guidelines

  • Authorized Targets: You may only scan websites that you own, operate, or are explicitly authorized to audit (e.g., as a contracted agency or consultant).
  • Agency Accounts: Standard individual accounts are intended for single-business use. Running scans for third-party client websites, delivering client-facing reports, or reselling scan outputs requires an active Agency Account.
  • Prohibited Activity: You agree not to scrape, harvest, bulk-export, or reverse-engineer our report outputs, scoring algorithms, fix database, or underlying software. You may not use the Service to conduct denial-of-service attempts, security probing, or any unlawful activities.
  • Account Action: We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate usage bounds or abuse our network infrastructure. Tokens spent or lost due to account suspension for abuse are non-refundable.

9. Intellectual Property & Deliverables

Madison Enterprise Group LLC retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the CrawlReady Service, including our proprietary scanning software, scoring methodology, audit rules, report presentation, and aggregated study datasets.

  • License: Your token purchases and active subscriptions grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the platform for internal business purposes (or client deliverables under an Agency Account).
  • Report Usage: Audit reports generated for your authorized domains are yours to retain, present, and use within your business operations, including export and distribution as PDF files.
  • Domain Ownership: Scanning a web property does not grant us any ownership or intellectual property rights over your website content.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS FOR COMMERCIAL GUIDANCE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MADISON ENTERPRISE GROUP LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, COMPLETELY ACCURATE, OR ERROR-FREE. AUDIT SCORES AND RECOMMENDATIONS ARE ADVISORY BENCHMARKS AND DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC SEARCH ENGINE RANKING, AI ENGINE INDEXING FREQUENCY, OR THIRD-PARTY CITATION OUTCOME.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • IN NO EVENT SHALL MADISON ENTERPRISE GROUP LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF SEARCH ENGINE RANKINGS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
  • OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS STRICTLY CAPPED AT THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO CRAWLREADY IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification and Termination

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Madison Enterprise Group LLC, its officers, managers, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or unauthorized scanning of third-party domains.

Termination

  • By You: You may stop using the Service or request account deletion at any time by contacting support or using account settings.
  • By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms (including misuse under Section 8) following notice, or immediately if necessary to prevent ongoing harm to our infrastructure or other users.
  • Survival: Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases. Sections 6 (as applicable), 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 shall survive termination.

13. Governing Law, Changes, and Contact Information

  • Governing Law and Venue: These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without giving effect to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be instituted exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
  • Changes to Terms: We may update these Terms periodically. Material updates (changes affecting pricing, core functionality, legal rights, or token mechanics) will take effect 14 days after we issue notice to your account email address. Non-material modifications take effect immediately upon posting, reflected by the updated Version date above. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
