Schema markup generator

Schema markup is hidden code on your website that tells Google and AI assistants exactly what your business is — your name, address, hours, prices, FAQs. Sites with schema get richer search results and are easier for AI to cite correctly. Pick a type below, fill in the boxes, and this tool writes the code for you.

Schema can only be generated for sites in your account.

For shops, restaurants, salons, plumbers — any business with a physical location. This is the most valuable schema for local search.

Pick the closest match — it helps Google show you in the right category. If you type a custom type, it overrides the dropdown. No storefront or physical location? An online-only or national company usually belongs in the Organization tab instead — LocalBusiness is for places customers can visit.

Use day codes: Mo Tu We Th Fr Sa Su. Separate multiple ranges with commas.

$ = cheap, $$ = moderate, $$$ = expensive.

For pages with questions and answers. Google may show these directly in search results as expandable dropdowns.

For things you sell. Enables price, availability and review stars in Google Shopping and search results.

For companies and agencies. Helps Google show your logo, social profiles and contact info in the knowledge panel.

For your homepage. Tells search engines your site's name and can enable a sitelinks search box in Google results.

If your site has search, paste the search URL and replace the query with {search_term_string}. This enables the Google sitelinks search box.

JSON-LD — updates as you type

This is JSON-LD — the format Google recommends. Paste it inside a <script type="application/ld+json"> tag in your page's <head>. See the steps below.

Putting it on your site

Three steps, about five minutes.

  1. Copy the code above. It starts with <script type="application/ld+json"> and ends with </script>.
  2. Paste it into your page's <head> — that's the top section of your HTML, before the visible content. In WordPress, use a plugin like "WP Schema Pro" or paste it via your theme's header settings. On Wix/Squarespace/Shopify, look for "custom code" or "header injection" in settings.
  3. Test it: open Google's Rich Results Test, paste your page URL, and confirm it finds your schema with no errors.
Don't want to do it yourself? Send this to your web person:

Hi — could you please add the attached JSON-LD schema markup to the <head> section of our website? It's structured data that helps Google and AI assistants understand our business. I've generated the code — it just needs to be pasted in. Thanks!
